Director’s Statement:

‘In the Mind’ is a personal narrative with a vision of unfolding the layers of human mind and how it perceives certain events through layers of perception, dreams and reality. Set in Goa, India IN THE MIND tries to explore the deepest desires of an artist perplexed by his own helplessness in having a desire to unison with his subject, where dreams are surreal and beauty of a subject is interspersed with the color of a canvas.

Prior to filmmaking, I worked as an artist in the creative industry (animation, digital art/design, gaming) for a few years. I was deeply interested and moved by stories and the audio-visual/sequential mediums since my childhood days and a passion to do something with films always existed in me. My own creative struggle to choose a primary medium to showcase work and a passion to combine allied areas of my other interests finally brought me into film-making and ‘In the Mind’ is a step forward in this direction.
